A sensational case similar to that of Atul Subhash of Bangalore has come to light in Delhi. Woodbox Cafe owner Puneet Khurana committed suicide by hanging himself on the night of 31 December. Before this, he had talked to his wife Manika Pahwa on the phone, whose audio recording had been found. Before committing suicide, Puneet also made a 59-minute video, in which he accused his wife and in-laws of harassment. His family members said that the police seized Puneet's mobile phone and did not give the video. Meanwhile, a post made by his wife Manika on Instagram is being discussed a lot.

North-West District Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhishma Singh said that when the police reached Puneet's house in Kalyan Vihar of Model Town, he was found dead on the bed. There was a mark of pressure of a dupatta on the neck. In the initial investigation, a dispute over a money transaction with his wife has come to light. Puneet's father said that nine years ago he had given Rs 1.65 crore to the girl's family on interest.

The divorce case was going on.

Puneet and Manika got married in 2016, but after some time the dispute started. A divorce case was going on between them. Now one more round was to be held in the court. In the phone conversation before suicide, Manika is saying that if you threaten me again, I will commit suicide. The house in which Puneet committed suicide is in Manika's name.

There was a fight on the phone for 16 minutes.

The police said that there was a fight on the phone between Puneet and Manika Pahwa at around 3 o'clock on Monday and Tuesday night. In the 16-minute audio clip, the argument between the two can be heard. Khurana can be heard telling his wife that we are getting divorced, but I am still a business partner... you have to clear my dues. The wife says that beggar, tell me what have you asked from me. You are not worthy of me now. I don't want to see your face. If you come in front of me, I will slap you. Puneet Khurana's phone and other belongings have been confiscated by the police.

Did not talk to the media

When media persons tried to talk to Manika and her family on this matter, they immediately refused. Manika's family says that they are in touch with the police. At present, the police are taking Manika's statement. The allegations made by Puneet's family are also being investigated. The police have not registered a case against Manika. The police say that in the initial investigation, it seems to be an old dispute over money.

I want justice, my child is gone.

Puneet's mother saw her young son hanging from the ceiling 24 hours ago. Not only the mother but the entire family is in shock. When the son did not open the door, she called the father, he came and broke the door and saw that he was hanging from the fan.

Manika's Instagram post

Meanwhile, Puneet's wife Manika's post on Instagram has become a topic of discussion. According to media reports, this post was made on Instagram about six days ago. In this post, Manika Pahwa has written that I am alive ... she is recovering well after 'toxic environment and abuse'. Further wrote that I am trying to 'be better and indifferent' every day. Manika also wrote that higher powers will decide what is best for those who 'abused' her. Well, feminism suits me, because idealistic values are my core. Feminism means only giving and receiving respect from each other. No behavior like slaves, no stopping a girl from speaking her mind. Even a domestic help, guard, rickshaw puller, a small child deserves to be treated respectfully.
