Jaipur, Jan 5 (IANS) With the intense cold, chilly winds and fog continuing to affect normal life in Rajasthan, the Jaipur district administration Monday decided to close schools for Class 1 to 5 till Jan 12.
"The order is applicable for all schools, both private and government-run, in the district," said a statement issued by Jaipur collector Krishna Kunal.
For students from Class 6 to 12, classes will begin at 9 a.m.
Churu Monday recorded a minimum temperature of 4.4 degrees Celsius, while Mount Abu, the only hill station in the state, saw a low of 4 degrees.
Udaipur, the city of lakes, was chilly at 6 degrees, while state capital Jaipur recorded a minimum of 8.3 degrees.
