No fresh snowfall in Himachal after 2 days: Tourists in Manali, movement stopped from Atal Tunnel

Tribal districts of Lahaul Spiti and Kullu in Himachal got little relief on Thursday after continuous snowfall for two days. Meanwhile, the weather cleared and the sun was shining. When the sun's rays fell on the snow-laden mountains, they shone. The maximum snowfall is up to 70 cm in Kullu's Kothi. At the same time, the layer of ice in Keylong is 9 centimeters thick. The administration is trying to make life normal by clearing the snow on the roads and other places.

 

The snowfall data in Himachal has been released by the Meteorological Center Shimla. If you look at this, the maximum snow has frozen up to 70 centimeters in the Kothi of Kullu. Gandla in Lahaul has recorded 20 cm snowfall, Shimla's Kadareli 17.7, Kufri 15 cm, Kalpa 17.2 cm, Kinnaur's Pooh 12 cm, Chamba's Chhatradi 8 cm snowfall has been recorded. A nine-centimeter snow layer has frozen in the tribal district headquarters Keylong itself.

After the snowfall, as soon as the weather cleared in Lahaul and Kullu, gradually now life has started returning to the track. People have started the work of clearing the snow on their houses. The Public Works Department and BRO have also started the work of restoring the roads which were closed due to snowfall. But till now the movement of vehicles between Lahaul-Manali through Atal Tunnel has not started. The vehicular movement will start in the valley only after removing the layer of snow from the road.

Due to inclement weather for two days, people were hiding in their homes. When the weather cleared on Thursday, they came out of their homes. He enjoyed the sun and started his daily activities. On the other hand, in Manali, tourists are seen playing ambush amidst the snow. He thoroughly enjoyed the snowfall on the Mall Road in Manali on Wednesday afternoon.
