Delhi completed the 50-day lockdown on Tuesday. An analysis of the data of the Ministry of Health by Hindustan Times, a Hindi language publication of Hindustan Times, has revealed that the capital has seen a 254-fold increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in these 50 days. According to Hindustan, till March 24, a day before the nationwide lockdown was implemented, there were only 30 positive Covid-19 cases in Delhi. By 12 May it had risen to 7,639. This is due to the number of 200 to 400 Covid-19 positive cases reported every day in May.

Also, as of 24 March, only one person had died due to Corona virus disease. This number now stands at 86. In the second phase of the lockdown, the figure had reached 59 by 30 April, with fatalities in Delhi. In the first phase of lockdown, 29 people died due to the disease.

In Delhi, the highest number of deaths were recorded from Covid-19 on Tuesday in a single day - with a figure of 13. Earlier, on April 16, the highest number of deaths recorded so far was six. The Delhi Government Health Bulletin on Tuesday showed that with 8,431 tests, the total number of corona tests in the city crossed the 1,00,000-mark.

Corona virus continues to wreak havoc in India. The third phase of lockdown is going on in the country and the fourth informal announcement has also been made, but only then the speed of the corona has not decreased. In the last 24 hours, 3525 new cases of Corona virus have been reported in the country and 122 deaths have been reported from Covid-19. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday, Corona virus cases have increased to around 74281 nationwide and 2415 people have died since Covid-19.
