
New Delhi, Jan 24 (IANS) US President Barack Obama will plant a sapling after the wreath-laying ceremony at Rajghat Sunday, the external affairs ministry said Saturday.
Obama, accompanied by his wife Michelle Obama, touches down in India Sunday on a three-day state visit. He will be the first US president to be chief guest at the Republic Day parade.
After his arrival at 10 a.m. in New Delhi, Obama would be accorded a ceremonial reception in the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. He would then go to Rajghat to pay homage at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.
