These include coronavirus, flu, rhinovirus, mycoplasma pneumonia, and other diseases. SARS-CoV-2 is constantly changing itself. Corona's subvariant JN.1 is also spreading. Kerkhove said there are several factors contributing to the spread of respiratory illnesses, one of which is the current holiday season, with families gathering and large numbers of people traveling. In such a situation, governments need to keep a close watch.
Kerkhove said that people spend more time indoors during the winter season. In such a situation, if there is a lack of ventilation in the house, then the risk of spreading the disease increases.
