Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said that due to the high infectiousness of Omicron, there is a possibility of local cases increasing again. According to the ministry, they are expected to double in the coming days and weeks.

 

As of Saturday, 546 cases of Omicron were confirmed in Singapore, of which 443 people have come from abroad. On Sunday, 209 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Singapore. So far 822 people have died due to infection in the country and a total of 2,77,764 people have been found infected.
