Omicron: To avoid the new variant, the center has given six measures, this strategy made with the states

Because of the threat of the new variant Omicron of Corona, the round of meetings between the central and state governments has started. In this episode, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan brainstormed with the officials of all the states and union territories of the country to avoid this new variant. In this meeting, he told all the states six-point measures. He said in this meeting that if the state adopts these measures, then the Omicron variant will be known sooner and it will be easier to deal with. Let us tell you about these six measures which the Center has asked the states to adopt.

 

The Union Health Secretary asked the states and union territories to increase the investigation so that it is caught at the right time and cases can also be managed.

 

The Center has asked the states to prepare containment zones.

 

States have been asked to increase surveillance at all levels.

 

It was also asked to increase surveillance of hotspots.

 

Increased coverage of vaccinations.

 

This includes strengthening the health infrastructure.

 

Omicron variant cannot survive RT-PCR and RAT tests

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said the Omicron variant can be identified by RT-PCR and RAT tests. Bhushan has asked states and union territories to ensure adequate infrastructure and increase surveillance of home isolation.

 

On November 28 also, advice was given to the states

 

Significantly, in a letter to the States and Union Territories on November 28, Bhushan called for strict COVID appropriate practices for surveillance of international travelers, ensuring speedy testing of samples for genome sequencing and managing it effectively. There was also an emphasis on implementation.
