After a delay of a few months due to the Corona epidemic, now once again the effort has started to give a big boost to the Indian defense sector. In this episode, Israel has provided advanced Heron drones to the Indian Army to monitor Chinese activities in the Ladakh region. The news agency ANI has given this information quoting official sources. Giving information, sources said that all these drones are working now and the current Heron drone is much better than the previous versions. Their anti-jamming capability is also superb than before.

Acquisition of drones under emergency financial powers

These drones have been acquired as part of the emergency financial powers given to the defense forces by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led's government. Under this, they can buy equipment and systems worth Rs 500 crore to upgrade their combat capabilities amid the ongoing border conflict with China.

Know the features of this drone

According to Israeli media, the Heron Mark-2 drone is equipped with the world's most advanced technology.

These aircraft are capable of carrying a variety of payloads with them.

This drone aircraft is fitted with powerful Rotex 915 IS engines which help it to fly up to an altitude of 10 thousand meters.

The Heron Mark-2 aircraft is an improved model of the previously built Heron UAV.

Its maximum speed is 140 knots per hour.

Now its sensor has been enlarged and improved making it extremely dangerous.

The Indian Army will find out the positions of its enemy by sitting in its camp.

It is worth noting that in the year 2019 too, these drones were made available to the Indian Army soon after the Balakot airstrike. At the same time, using the same facility, the Indian Navy has also leased two Predator drones which have been taken from the American firm General Atomics.
