Pak PM's eyes on trade: Shahbaz Sharif said - a business relationship with India is important, it will benefit both countries

India has always been an important factor in the politics of Pakistan. Delhi has always been a topic of discussion in the corridors of power in Islamabad. Pointing to this, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said in Turkey that both the countries can have great mutual benefit from trade.

 

In his statement given just before he visited Turkey, Shahbaz Sharif said- We know that by having good trade relations with India, we can benefit greatly. Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif had written a letter to PM Modi expressing his desire for a peaceful solution to the disputed issues of both countries.

A delegation from Pakistan reached Delhi on 30 May. During this, India and Pakistan signed the annual report of the Permanent Commission of Indus Waters (PCIW). The two sides discussed 3 hydropower projects related to the Indus Water Treaty.

 

PM Modi congratulated Shahbaz Sharif

 

After assuming power in April, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a congratulatory message to Shahbaz. In response to this congratulatory message, Shahbaz wrote a letter to PM Modi. In this letter, he wrote – Pakistan wants peaceful and cooperative relations with India. Many issues between the two countries, including Kashmir, need to be resolved peacefully. Everyone knows the sacrifice that Pakistan has made in the fight against terror. Peaceful relations between India and Pakistan are essential for the socio-economic development of the citizens.

 

Shahbaz wants good relations with India

 

Shahbaz Sharif has often talked about working together with Pakistani Punjab and Indian Punjab. He has been the Chief Minister of Punjab province of Pakistan thrice. In 2017, the problem of smog was going on in both Punjab and North India, when Shahbaz Sharif wrote a letter to the then Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. In this, he had demanded a mechanism to deal with the problem of smog and the issue of pollution.
