Since the advent of Taliban rule in Afghanistan, Pakistan has become more active and is interfering in every decision of the government. This means that the Taliban wants to keep remote Pakistan in their hands. But in the meantime, news channel India Today, giving big news quoting sources, has said that the differences between Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and ISI Chief Lt Gen Faiz Hamid are deepening over control in Afghanistan. The dispute has increased so much that both have started strategizing to remove each other from the post.
In fact, for the last several years, the responsibility of looking after the leaders of the Taliban has been handled by the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Not only this, but ISI has also been helping the Taliban in running operations against America in Afghanistan. In such a situation, when the Taliban government is now formed in Afghanistan, the Pakistan army chief now wants to interfere in their decision, which is going through exasperating ISI Chief Lt Gen Faiz Hamid. He does not want the credit of the Taliban regime to go to Bajwa in any way.
Apart from this, the ISI has very close and close ties with the leaders of the Taliban. They have deep penetration in all other factions including the Haqqani group. Sources believe that the ISI has kept many of its spies in Afghanistan as warlords. Most of the Taliban factions and their leaders fought with the US in Peshawar and Quetta under the protection of the ISI. That's why the ISI chief no longer wants to let go of his control over Afghanistan in any way.
