We will try our best to keep them in custody for at least four to five days, the source said. Under the new amendments to the National Accountability Ordinance, 1999, the period of physical remand granted by any court has been reduced from 90 days to 14 days.

On Tuesday, Section 144 was also implemented in the entire Punjab. Apart from this, schools have also been closed on Wednesday. However, according to the information received from the police, there has been no incident of violence in the country's capital Islamabad so far.

The clash between protesters and army

One person was reported killed in clashes between protesters and the army in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. Apart from this, there is information about the injuries of five people. While about 15 people were reported injured in similar violence in Karachi, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. The protesters also ransacked the headquarters of the Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi.
