Pakistan is not deterring from antics: conspiracy of espionage through Kartarpur Corridor, ISI officers present among devotees

The Kartarpur Corridor opened between India and Pakistan and brought relief to lakhs of pilgrims. But, even in this holy act, the nefarious intentions of Pakistan have come to the fore. According to the information, Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI is using the Kartarpur Corridor to meet Indians going on pilgrimage and gather intelligence. These activities are against the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor Agreement signed between India and Pakistan in 2019.

Espionage is happening through the corridor

It has also been said in the reports that Pakistan has deployed spies in the Kartarpur Corridor. These intelligence officers try to gather some intelligence by interacting with Indian citizens going to Kartarpur Sahib via Kartarpur Corridor like normal people.

business meetings are also taking place

According to reports, recently a business-related meeting was held on the premises of the Gurudwara. India has objected to this. Although no official statement has come out on this so far, India is keeping an eye. The purpose of this corridor is only for religious pilgrimage. But, Pakistan is using it for different purposes.

Kartarpur Corridor was open in 2019

For the first time in 1999, the then Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee had proposed to build the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor. In 2018, the foundation stone of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, about 4 km long, from Dera Sahib Nanak in Gurdaspur to LOC was laid. The Kartarpur Corridor was inaugurated on 9 November 2019. Guru Nanak Dev Ji had established Sikhism in Kartarpur Sahib itself. This is where Nanak Dev Ji took samadhi. Therefore this place has a lot of importance for the Sikhs.

The corridor was closed due to Corona

In the year 2020, the Kartarpur corridor was closed because of the increasing infection of the coronavirus. After being closed for 20 months, the corridor was reopened for pilgrims in November 2021.
