A petition was filed in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court to not declare the result of a female student in the NEET-2024 exam due to her OMR sheet being found torn. When the matter was heard on Tuesday, it was found that the female student was mailing NTA (National Testing Agency) with a fake application number.
After seeing the original documents of the student presented by NTA, the court also admitted that the student had filed the petition based on forged documents. The court termed it regrettable and said that NTA is free to take legal action in the matter. At the same time, the counsel for the petitioner requested permission to withdraw the petition, which the court accepted and dismissed the petition.
The student had made these demands in the petition
In the petition of student Ayushi Patel filed before the vacation bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan, it was demanded that the OMR sheet of the petitioner be evaluated manually, the Central Government should be ordered to investigate against NTA and while the present petition is pending, counseling should be stopped. While presenting the original OMR sheet, score card, and attendance sheet of the petitioner on behalf of NTA, it was said that the application number of the petitioner in the said documents is 240411340741, which has been signed by the petitioner herself. Despite this, it is difficult to understand why the petitioner was sending e-mails from the application number 240411840741.
The student's lawyer said - I have nothing to say...
On this, the court ordered both the parties to submit the original documents. In compliance with the order, NTA Deputy Director Sandeep Sharma presented the original documents of the student along with the affidavit, after seeing which the petitioner's lawyer himself said that now he has nothing to say in this matter, so the petition should be allowed to be withdrawn. Whereas on behalf of NTA, the court was told that the decision to take legal action against the petitioner student has been taken by NTA. The court said the petitioner has submitted forged documents, in such a situation this court cannot stop NTA from taking legal action against the student.
The student raised questions by releasing a video
Aayushi Patel, a resident of Mohan Road Buddheshwar Pink City, Lucknow, released a video and said 'When I saw my result on June 4, it was showing on the screen that your result is not generated. An hour later I got an email from NTA that they had found my OMR sheet damaged'. My advocate uncle replied to NTA by mail that if the OMR sheet is torn then it should be shown. The OMR sheet was received within 24 hours. It seems that it has been torn deliberately. When it was checked, it was getting 715 marks in NEET. I filed a petition in the High Court regarding this.' In the Aayushi case, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had put the government in the dock by posting on X.
