A bail application was filed on behalf of Aftab's lawyer in Delhi's Saket Court, after which Justice Vrinda Kumari said that the application will remain pending until Aftab agrees. This Means Aftab's first consent is necessary for bail.
The court ordered him to be produced through video conferencing. The accused was produced in court on 17 December. Justice Vrinda Kumari spoke to Aftab about the petition, in which Aftab stated that he had signed the Vakalatnama, but was not aware that a bail application had been filed on his behalf.
Aftab told the court that he would decide after meeting his lawyer whether he wanted bail or not. On Thursday, the lawyer met the accused for about 1 hour. After this, he decided to withdraw the petition.
Shraddha's father said – the family of the accused should also be investigated
Shraddha's father Vikas Walker said that it was Aftab who had brutally murdered my daughter. Aftab should be punished severely and the role of his family members should also be investigated. He should be punished as he did to my daughter. I want him to be hanged. What happened to my daughter should not happen to anyone.
On the other hand, Shraddha's father's lawyer Seema Kushwaha said that the charge sheet has not been filed yet, but Aftab's bail application has been filed. The application was filed without the consent of Aftab. The lawyer should be sensitive in this matter. His lawyer should have stood for humanity first. Again for a criminal. He said that the police will file a charge sheet within 90 days. I hope the investigation will be completed soon and the charge sheet will be filed.
