Pakistan's conspiracy in the United Nations (UN) was foiled. Pakistan tried to designate an Indian national as an international terrorist. This proposal was rejected by 4 other countries including India.

Pakistan claims a man named Gobind Patnaik Duggiwalasa to be a terrorist. Pakistan claims this man has been involved in terrorist attacks against Pakistan. To declare it an international terrorist, Pakistan had tried to register the name of this person in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Pakistan has failed before

In rejecting this offer Pakistan, the UK, the US, France, and Albania supported India. Among the countries that support India, 3 countries are permanent members of the UNSC. At the same time, the fourth country, Albania, is the president of the UNSC this month. In 2020 also one such proposal of Pakistan was rejected by all the members.

India's representative to the UN T.S. In his tweet, Trimurti said- Pakistan's attempt to give religious and political color to the 1267 Special Process on Terrorism has been thwarted by the United Nations Security Council. We thank all those members who foiled the plans of Pakistan.

China also played friendship

Last week too, a resolution was tabled at the UNSC. A proposal to include Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki in the 1267 committee was presented. This proposal was introduced by India and America, but China banned this proposal. America has placed a reward of 2 million dollars (Rs 15 crore) on Makki, India has also declared Makki a terrorist under UAPA.

What is the 1267 Committee Resolution?

The UNSC 1267 Committee Resolution is also known as the UNSC Al Qaeda and Islamic States (ISIS) Resolution. It was approved in 1999. The first names on this committee were Osama bin Laden and related Al Qaeda and Taliban terrorists.
