Pant clashes with umpire: Annoyed by Lalit Yadav's delivery as a no-ball, has already lost 100% match fee

In the 41st match of IPL 2022, Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets on Thursday. In this match too, Pant clashed with the umpire over the no-ball. Pant had a strong objection to Delhi bowler Lalit Yadav's ball being called a no-ball.

Rishabh Pant was also in the news for the no-ball controversy in the match against Rajasthan Royals. During that time the umpire did not give a no-ball to the third ball of the last over, after which Pant got angry and he signaled his batsmen to return. In return, Pant had to lose 100% of his match fee.

The argument between Pant and the umpire

During this match, Delhi captain Rishabh Pant was seen arguing with the umpire over a no-ball, which brought back memories of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi. This incident happened in the 17th over of the innings bowled by Lalit Yadav. Nitish Rana sent the third ball of the over for six runs over deep point. Along with this, the leg-umpire also called that ball a no-ball due to the height.

Even in real-time, the ball was a no-ball, but Pant was unhappy with the decision and was seen arguing with umpire Anil Chaudhary. After explaining the whole matter to the umpire, Pant agreed. The video of this incident is becoming quite viral on social media.

Knight Riders were defeated again in front of Kuldeep

Kuldeep Yadav came to bowl in the 8th over of KKR's innings and took 2 wickets in 2 consecutive balls in his very first over. On the second ball of the over, Yadav dismissed Baba Inderjit (6). His catch was caught by Powell at long-on and on the next ball, Kuldeep dismissed Sunil Narine (0) LBW. After this, Kuldeep again took two wickets in his third over.

On the first ball of the 13th over, he dismissed captain Shreyas Iyer (42) and Andre Russell (0) on the fourth ball. Scoring runs against Kuldeep in the match was finding it very difficult for the Kolkata batsmen. On his swirling balls, he did not allow Kolkata's innings to reach a big score. In the first match of the season against KKR, he took 4 wickets for 35 runs.
