
Bilateral talks were held between US President Joe Biden and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. During this, Prime Minister Modi said – India-US friendship is important for global peace. The belief in our common interests has strengthened. Our friendship is committed to human welfare. We share similar views on the Indo-Pacific issue with like-minded countries so that we can work to protect our concerns and interests.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said I am confident that the 'India-USA Investment Incentive Agreement' between us will see strong progress in the direction of investment. We are increasing our bilateral cooperation in the field of technology and are also coordinating mutually on global issues.
America Committed to Earth's Best Friendship
During the meeting with PM Modi, US President Joe Biden said, the India-US partnership is truly a partnership of trust. Our shared interests and values have strengthened the bond of trust between the two countries. “I am delighted that we have reached an agreement to continue work in India for the US Development Finance Corporation, to support vaccine production, and clean energy initiatives,” he said. We are renewing the Indo-US Vaccine Action Program. During this, Biden said, India and America can do a lot together. We are committed to having the best friendship on earth ever with India.
Ukraine-Russia issue raised
The US President also raised the issue of the Russia-Ukraine war with PM Modi. "We also discussed the ongoing effects of Russia's brutal and unjustified invasion of Ukraine and its impact on the entire world order," he said. The two countries will continue to hold talks on how its negative impact can be mitigated.
At the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Joe Biden, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the two leaders discussed ways to strengthen trade, investment, technology, and defense ties.
