Deepika Padukone has courted controversy for wearing a bikini in the song Besharam Rang from the film Pathan. He is being accused of spoiling Indian civilization. The reason is her wearing an orange bikini in the song and having the lyrics of the song Besharam Rang on it. Deepika is not the first Bollywood or world actress to wear a modern bikini.

The history of bikinis in the world is 7600 years old. A painting of a goddess dressed in a bikini was found in an ancient settlement in South Anatolia (Western Asia). Sharmila Tagore was the first actress to wear a bikini in Indian films, while talking about the world, the modern bikini was invented on 5 July 1946. The connection of its making is with World War 2 and the crisis that came at that time. When the military ran out of money after World War II, the US government decided to cut the fabric used in swimwear by 10 percent.

Thus disaster found a new opportunity and the bikini was born, but it was not a designer but a French mechanical engineer, Louis Liard. When the first Miss World wore a bikini during the crowning in 1951, there was a lot of uproars and it was banned in many Christian countries. Then the bikini trend started with a song, after which there are many varieties and brands of bikinis around the world today.
