Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh appeared before a three-member committee formed by the Congress High Command to end the tussle in the Congress. Captain Amarinder kept his words before the committee for about two hours. Talking to the media after the meeting, the Captain said that these discussions are taking place regarding the assembly elections to be held in the state.
Captain said- discussion took place because of the preparations for the assembly elections
The committee includes Mallikarjun Kharge, Jai Prakash Agarwal, and Harish Rawat. Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh kept his talk for about two hours. The Chief Minister reached the Congress office at 15 Rakab Ganj at around 11.10 am.
Captain Amarinder Singh told the media after presenting his side before the committee that these discussions are being held in connection with the preparations for the assembly elections to be held next year in Punjab. The captain refused to divulge anything about the conversation that took place in the meeting. He said that this is an internal matter of the party and no mention can be made of internal discussions. The deliberations of the committee cannot be made public. After 6 months, elections are coming in Punjab. That too was considered. There was also a discussion regarding the 2022 elections.
At the same time, before the meeting, Harish Rawat had said that after hearing the Chief Minister, the proceedings of the hearing would be completed. After this, the committee will prepare its report and give it to the interim president of the party, Sonia Gandhi. Since Sonia Gandhi is not available for the next two to three days. So only after that, the report will be submitted to them. From this, there are clear indications that the second week of June is also going to be very hot for the Punjab Congress because till the time there is no clear indication from the report of the committee and from the high command, the activities of the Congress in Punjab will not be known. The main focus is Delhi residents.
At the same time, according to the information, the captain has also taken some files with him. The important thing is that before the Chief Minister appeared before the committee, Congress Rajya Sabha member Pratap Singh Bajwa again met the committee. However, it was not clear why he had gone to the committee again, as Bajwa had already made his point before the committee on Wednesday.
Let us inform you that on Thursday, the Chief Minister not only had a meeting with Congress MP Manish Tewari, Amritsar MP Gurjit Singh Aujla, Cabinet Minister Vijay Inder Singla, Rana Gurmeet Singh, etc., but also had dinner with them in a five-star hotel.
