His idea of Make in India matters both in economics and ethics.
Future belongs to India - Putin
Putin said that the future belongs to India because it has the largest democracy in the world. It is a matter of pride for every Indian. He said- Modi is like an icebreaker. He knows very well how to protect the interests of his people. PM Narendra Modi is one of those people who specializes in implementing Independent Foreign Policy.
He said that many western countries tried to impose sanctions on India in many cases, but despite this, they foiled the plans of those countries. He said that we supported each other and it is still happening. I am sure it will happen in the future also.
Remembering relations with India
During the meeting, Putin also mentioned about Russia-India relations. He said that the relationship between India and Russia is very old, which is special. This relationship has been going on for decades. India has always been special for Russia. There is no dispute between the two countries.
Putin said that India has made tremendous progress from being a British colonial to a modern country. It has achieved definite growth results which cause respect and admiration for India. Putin said that trade between us increased further. PM Modi asked me to increase the supply of fertilizer to India, which is very important for agriculture in India. We increased it by 7.6 times, which has almost doubled.
