The ruling Pakistani Democratic Movement had raised the Toshakhana GIFT issue before the Election Commission. It was said that Imran had sold gifts received from different countries during his tenure. Imran had told the Election Commission that he had bought all these gifts from Toshakhana for Rs 2.15 crore. By selling them, he got about 5.8 crores.

Imran violated this rule

According to Pakistan's famous journalist Aaliya Shah, the information about the gifts received by the Prime Minister, President or those in other positions in Pakistan has to be given to the National Archive. They have to be deposited in Toshakhana. If the gift is worth 10 thousand Pakistani rupees, then the person concerned can keep it without paying any money.

If it is more than 10 thousand then the gift can be kept with you by paying 20% price. If the gift is more than 4 lakhs, then only Wazir-e-Azam (Prime Minister) or Sadar-e-Riyasat (President) can buy it. If no one buys, there is an auction.

Fawad Chaudhary, who was a minister in the Imran government, has said that his party PTI will oppose this decision of the Election Commission. And will appeal against it in the High Court. Toshakhana was built in Pakistan in 1974. This is such a department in which the gifts received by the Prime Minister, Bureaucrats, and President from the country and abroad are kept.
