Pompeo specifically referred to the India-China dispute over the Line of Actual Control in the 'Himalayas' and the regional tensions with China.

We have seen this in the South, East China Sea, Mekong, Himalaya, Taiwan Strait. These are just a few examples."

Pompeo also accused the CCP of concealing the Covid epidemic, and 'silencing' the citizens warning of the threat to China's power.

Pompeo said, "As partners in the Quad, it has become even more important now that we together protect our people and allies from the exploitation, corruption and bigotry of the Communist Party of China (CCP). We have done this in the South, Eastern Seen in China Sea, Mekong, Himalaya, Taiwan Strait. These are just a few examples. "

Peaceful resolution of disputes - India

Indian Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar said that it is a matter of satisfaction that the concept of the Indo-Pacific region is rapidly gaining acceptance.

Jaishankar said, "Our objective is to advance the security and economic interests of all countries with legitimate and important interests in the region".

Japan and Australia statements

Japan's Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said, "The four countries share the core values of democracy, the rule of law and the free economy. As responsible partners of the region, we strengthen a rules-based, independent, and open international rule Share the goal for.

Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne described the network as a positive agenda for Quod. He said, "This area runs by rules, not by strength." He said that they should protect the rights of the people and in case of any dispute, they should take steps according to international laws.

China lodged protest

Within hours of the end of the meeting, the Chinese Foreign Ministry gave its response.

China said in a statement, "Instead of targeting third parties and undermining their interests, there should be cooperation among regional countries to build mutual understanding and trust."

Even before this, China has registered protests against the Quad.

What is Quad?

The Quadrilateral Security Dialogue (QUSID), also known as QUAD.

It is an informal political dialogue group between the USA, India, Japan, and Australia.

In 2007, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe proposed it for the first time, which was supported by India, the USA, and Australia. But after starting in 2007, the quad remained inactive for the next 10 years.

In the year 2017, once again the countries of the quad met. The level of the meeting increased in 2019 and the foreign ministers of the four countries participated in it.

India has been trying to never indicate to any country that it is a military alliance.

India has been doing naval exercises in Malabar with the USA and Japan but was in favor of not including Australia in it.
