Rahul should get full responsibility of Congress: Digvijaya

Posted on 9th Jan 2015 01:10 pm by mohit kumar

New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS) Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi should be given "poori javabdari" (full responsibility) of the party, its general secretary Digvijaya Singh said Thursday.

"He (Gandhi) has taken responsibility of party vice president. Sonia ji (party president Sonia Gandhi) is urged to give him full responsibility of the All India Congress Committee," Digvijaya Singh told reporters here.

The Congress leader had made similar remarks in the past.

The party is making efforts for an electoral revival after a debacle in the Lok Sabha elections last year and poor show in subsequent state assembly polls.
