He made his mark by directing films like Khel Khel Mein, Majboor, Anhoni, Khuddar, Zindagi, Nazrana, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Jawab, Aan Aur Shaan, Nirman, Jhootha Kahin Ka, Chor Ho To Aisa.
Ravi Tandon started his directorial career as an assistant director and directed as well as produced a few films. He also appeared as an actor in the film 'Love in Shimla' released in 1960.
