The Reserve Bank of India has received a bomb threat. A threatening email came on the official website of the Reserve Bank of India on Thursday (12 December 2024) afternoon. This email was sent in Russian language and it talked about blowing up the Reserve Bank. In this case, a case has been registered against the unknown accused at Mata Ramabai Marg (MRA Marg) police station.

Threatening mail came in the Russian language.

Due to this mail being in the Russian language, the agencies have become even more alert. It is also being ascertained whether someone has sent the mail with the intention of deliberately harassing. An IP address is being traced to find out if someone has sent the mail through a VPN. The crime branch is engaged in this matter and the help of experts is also being taken. After receiving the threat, the surrounding areas were investigated.

RBI also received a threat last month

Last month also a similar case came to light when a call came on the customer care number of the Reserve Bank of India and he introduced himself as the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba. He also threatened to bomb the Central Bank. The person threatened hangs up saying that close to the back road, the electric car has broken down.

Bomb threat to Delhi schools

In the past few days, many threat calls and emails have been received in the country to bomb planes and schools. Three schools in Delhi received a mail threatening to bomb them today i.e. on 13 December, after which various agencies started searching the school premises. The school administration sent a message to parents requesting them not to send children to school. Earlier on 9 December 2024, at least 44 schools in Delhi had received similar emails.
