Three Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba were involved in the attack on a bus full of devotees returning from Shivkhodi Dham. Lashkar commander Abu Hamza is also suspected to be involved in this. The terrorists used American M-4 rifles in the attack. The presence of a fourth terrorist is also being suspected.

A campaign is being carried out in the forests of Reasi and Rajouri with the help of drones and sniffer dogs in search of the terrorists. Teams of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the State Investigation Agency collected evidence from the spot on Monday. Investigation officials said, according to the information received from the devotees and eyewitnesses on the bus, the fourth terrorist was providing cover to the attackers. It is feared that the terrorists may be hiding in caves on the high hills of the forests adjoining Reasi and Rajouri.
