The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDA) said on Wednesday that it will be like a floater policy of health insurance. This insurance cover will be given on an add-on basis. This will be added to the policy. Its objective is to increase the coverage of insurance in the country.
At the same time, the premium for motor insurance will also have to be paid less for driving safely and in a good manner. At the same time, a higher premium will have to be paid for breaking the rules or driving the vehicle wrongly. According to the new rules issued by IRDA on Wednesday, now the premium amount will be decided on the mode of driving. Both the rules have come into force immediately.
