
The IPL has fined Rajasthan Royals pacer Nandre Burger 10 percent of his match fee. Additionally, one demerit point has been added to his disciplinary record. This fine was imposed on Nandre Burger for breaching IPL regulations during the match between Lucknow and Rajasthan.

Heavy Fine Imposed on Nandre Burger
Specifically, left-arm fast bowler Nandre Burger was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He has admitted to his transgression. In an official statement, the IPL stated that Nandre Burger accepted the Level 1 offense under Article 2.5. This article pertains to the use of language, actions, or gestures that are insulting to another player or could provoke an aggressive reaction from them. He accepted the sanction imposed by the Match Referee.
Sending Off Pant Proves Costly
After dismissing Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant, Burger made a ‘send-off’ gesture towards him. During the second over of Lucknow’s innings, Pant was caught behind by Dhruv off Burger’s bowling. At that point, Pant had failed to even open his account.
Rajasthan Registers Fifth Win of the Season
Speaking of the match itself, after losing the toss, Rajasthan Royals batted first and posted a total of 159 runs in their allotted 20 overs. RR’s top order returned to the dugout early, but Ravindra Jadeja anchored the Rajasthan innings from the middle order. He scored an unbeaten 43 runs off 29 balls.
In reply, chasing a target of 160 runs, Lucknow Super Giants could only manage to score 119 runs. The Lucknow team failed to play out their full 20 overs and consequently lost the match. Ravindra Jadeja was named the Hero of the Match for this victory against Lucknow, having also claimed the crucial wicket of Nicholas Pooran with the ball.
