Captain Shikhar Dhawan scored an unbeaten 86 while batting brilliantly. At the same time, Prabhasimran scored 60 runs. After that, Nathan Ellis took four wickets for 30 runs in four overs.

After the match, Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan said, "There were some nervous moments, but I was calm and so were the bowlers. There was a lot of dew. The bowlers did a great job. The score we scored, I was happy. He bowled well and bowled a very good Yorker. Nathan came in and took wickets. We never let the game slip away."

'We played a better match

Shikhar further said, “There were some difficult moments, but I think it was a better team effort. We have started well in these two matches and I am giving my best. This year we have a deep batting lineup is there, so we are putting pressure on the other team. You have to respect that the other team has also come to play and bowl. They bowled a few good overs as well, but we kept our intent and aggression.

90 runs partnership for the first wicket

It may be noted that Shikhar and Prabhsimran shared a 90-run partnership for the first wicket. Prabhsimran batted fearlessly.
