Shahbaz Ahmed joins Team India: When Bhaskar called to congratulate, the father came to know that the son was selected

Haryana all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed will be part of Team India in the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe starting on August 18. He has been included in the team in place of Washington Sundar. Sundar has been out of this series due to injury.

 

When Bhaskar called his father Ahmed Jaan to congratulate him, he said- It was from you that the information was received that Shahbaz has been selected for Team India. This is the result of his 10 years of hard work, the prayers of the fans, and the grace of Allah.

 

Shahbaz is currently in Kolkata

 

According to Ahmed, Shahbaz is currently in Kolkata. He plays for Bengal in domestic cricket and is currently part of the team camp. Shahbaz\'s father said- At one time I wanted Shahbaz to become a civil engineer. For this reason, after finishing his schooling in Mewat, he got admission to Manav Rachna International University in Faridabad so that he could become an engineer. It took Shahbaz 11 years to complete a three-year degree.

Ahmed Jan further says- I did not know that in Faridabad his mind was not engaged in engineering studies. He was bunking classes for cricket. I came to know about this when a message came from the university that Shahbaz was not attending classes.

According to Ahmed, in these circumstances, I told Shahbaz to select between studies or cricket, but focus on whatever he selecting. Then Shahbaz chose cricket and decided to focus on it. After this, he started going to a cricket academy in Gurgaon. Their coach Mansoor Ali trained him.

 

Can join the team tomorrow

 

Shahbaz Ahmed can join the team tomorrow i.e. on the 17th of August. The Indian team has to play a three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. The first ODI is on 18 August, the second on 20 and the third on 22 August.
