Sidhu Moosewala Murder: Singer and Congress leader Moosewala was murdered in Punjab, Canada-based gangster Goldie Brar took responsibility for the murder

Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moosewala were publicly shot dead by the assailants at around 4 pm on Sunday. Punjab Police Director General of Police VK Bhavra told during the press conference that three weapons were used in the murder. However, he did not name the AK-47 rifle. He told that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is behind the murder. Canada-based gangster Lucky alias Goldie Brar, close to Bishnoi, has claimed responsibility for the murder. He told that it is a case of a clash between two gangs. The name of Moosewala's manager Shaganpreet had cropped up in the SAD leader Vicky Middukheda murder case. This incident is believed to be his reaction. He also told that four commandos of Punjab Police were stationed in security near Moosewala. Two of whom were withdrawn, but they had the protection of two commandos, whom Musewala did not take with him today.

Punjab DGP VK Bhavra said that additional forces are also being sent. We try to solve this matter as soon as possible. The investigation of the matter is going on and on the orders of the Chief Minister, I have been asked to make the IG Range SIT. From the cartridges recovered from the spot, it seems that 3 different weapons have been used. Apart from the IG range, SSP Mansa and Bathinda have also reached the spot. When Sidhu Musewala came out of his house, two vehicles came from front and back on the way and fired at his car and when he was taken to the hospital, he was declared dead. It seems to be a case of mutual enmity.

Faridkot IG PK Yadav said that the attackers left their car and fled. We have got some clues on which we are probing. We hope to get some arrests soon. We have also constituted SIT which will investigate the matter daily.

Punjab and Delhi CM pay tribute

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mon said I am shocked by this incident. Whoever is involved in this incident will not be spared. My condolences are with the bereaved family. People keep the peace. At the same time, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted and wrote that 'Sidhu Musewala's murder is very sad and shocking. Spoke to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. The culprits will be given the harshest punishment. I request everyone to keep calm and maintain peace. God rest his soul'.
