In an interview with Dubai-based Al Arabiya TV, Shehbaz Sharif expressed his desire to improve relations with India. He said that Pakistan has learned its lesson after three wars with India. Pakistan now wants peace with its neighbor. In such a situation, he also appealed for talks on the Kashmir issue with the Prime Minister of the neighboring country, Narendra Modi.
Shahbaz Sharif appealed to the Indian leadership and Prime Minister Modi to sit at a table and have a serious and honest conversation to resolve issues like Kashmir. It is up to us whether we live in peace and develop or fight with each other and destroy resources over time, he said.
Is it a compulsion or a show-off to improve relations?
Improving relations with India is not only a compulsion of Pakistan but also a real need because hardly any other country can help Pakistan as much as India can and Pakistan has also seen this during the Sri Lankan crisis. Pakistan's Federal Reserve Bureau had told on Friday that the country's foreign exchange reserves are rapidly decreasing and it has come down to $ 4.4 billion. Saudi Arabia and UAE have always extended their hand to help Pakistan after its separation from India, but both these countries have also realized that Pakistan, which is on the verge of bankruptcy, is unable to repay its debt. In such a situation, both countries are shying away from helping Pakistan, but because of the situation arising due to floods, Saudi Arabia and UAE have agreed to help with $ 3 and 1 billion respectively.
