The National Weather Service forecast that more than 2 inches (2.5 to 5 cm) of snow could fall in Erie County on Tuesday, affecting 275,000 residents in and around Buffalo. The rest of the United States is also facing a severe winter. Snow storms have caused havoc in many parts of America. At least two dozen additional deaths have been reported in other parts of the country. At the same time, there has been a power cut in Washington state.
