Sourav Ganguly hospitalized in Kolkata after deteriorating health

Sourav Ganguly, president of BCCI and former captain of the Indian cricket team, has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after suffering chest pain.

 

According to local media reports, Sourav Ganguly's health deteriorated while exercising in the gym, after which he was admitted to the nearby Woodlands Hospital.

 

BCCI secretary Jai Shah has written that he has spoken to Sourav Ganguly's family and Ganguly is fine now.

 

Shah wrote on Twitter that "Dada's health is stable now. Medicines are doing the right thing. I pray for his recovery as soon as possible".

 

Prayers for 'dada'

 

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has wished Ganguly to recover as soon as possible.

 

Mamta Banerjee wrote on Twitter, "Sad to know about Sourav's health. It is heard that he has had a mild cardiac arrest due to which he has to be admitted to the hospital. I am fine with him soon. I wish to be. My prayers are with him and the family. "

 

Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan has also prayed for Sourav Ganguly's recovery. He has also written a message for 'Dada' on Twitter.

 

Former cricketer Virender Sehwag wrote on Twitter, "Dada, to get well soon. Pray for you to get fit soon."

 

Sports journalist Vikrant Gupta has written, "This is very bad news. Sourav Ganguly is in hospital and is about to undergo angioplasty."

 

Former Pakistani cricketer Waqar Yonis wrote, "You are a strong man, grandfather. My prayers for you. Get well soon."

 

Similarly, former cricketer Anil Kumble, Mohammad Kaif, and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli have also prayed for Sourav Ganguly's early recovery.
