South Africa-New Zealand semi-final restarts after rain delay

Auckland, March 24 (IANS) Play restarted after a spurt of showers stopped the South Africa-New Zealand cricket World Cup semifinal at the Eden Park here on Tuesday.

The match has been reduced to 43 overs per side instead of 50 overs as more than 90 minutes of play were lost.

South Africa were batting at 216/3 after 38 overs with skipper AB de Villiers (60 not out) and Faf du Plessis (82 not out) at the crease when the skies opened up.
