Irrespective of the snowfall and rain in Kashmir, the security forces are continuing their operation against terrorism. Under this operation, the security forces arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist during a search operation in the Chadoora area of district Budgam on Thursday. On searching him, a pistol and two magazines were also found from his possession. He became a terrorist only about three weeks ago.
Police said that based on information received from reliable sources, this search operation was carried out in Chadoora with the help of the army. As soon as they reached the area, when the security forces started searching the houses one by one, this terrorist was hiding there. Before he could use the weapons, the security forces caught him there. A police official, while not revealing the identity of the arrested terrorist, said that based on his interrogation, a campaign is being launched to arrest his other accomplices. If we reveal his name, it may affect the campaign. He told that the arrested terrorist is originally from Memander Shopian in South Kashmir.
Let us tell you that because of the possibility of carrying out any major incident by terrorists during Republic Day, security arrangements have been tightened in the entire state. On Wednesday, security forces destroyed an underground hideout of terrorists in South Kashmir's Pulwama. According to local sources, the terrorists had probably already got an idea of the operation of the security forces and they fled after leaving the hideout.
On Wednesday evening itself, at around 4.30 pm, terrorists suddenly attacked the bunker of the 40th Corps of CRPF on FM Gali, KP Road in Anantnag. The soldiers present outside the bunker, defending themselves, retaliated. On this, the terrorists escaped saving their lives. There was no harm to the security forces in the terrorist attack.
