Due to increasing pollution in Delhi-NCR, the situation continues to be worrying. The Supreme Court has also reprimanded the central and state governments and asked them to take steps to control it. After this, many steps are being taken in Delhi-NCR. However, so far no benefit has been seen from it. The Air Quality Index (AQI) remains in the very poor to the severe category in many cities of Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Let us know what steps have been taken to control pollution-

School-college closed, work from home started in offices too

Schools were reopened in Delhi this month after a long time due to the Corona epidemic, but only after half a month, the school closure has been announced. Delhi government has decided to close the school till further orders because of pollution. Schools and colleges have also been closed in Haryana's Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, and Jhajjar. At the same time, work from home has been resumed in offices in Delhi. 100% of work from home has been done in government offices and 50 percent in private offices.

Entry ban of trucks in Delhi, ban on construction works also

In Delhi, the entry of trucks other than essential services has been banned i.e. trucks coming from other states will not be able to enter Delhi. Many trucks have been stopped at the Tikri border. However, this decision of the government is also causing a lot of trouble to the people. Due to this, a much km-long jam has been created on the border. This ban will continue till November 21. Apart from this, construction works have also been banned till November 21.

Old vehicles were also banned in Delhi

Delhi government has banned 15 years old petrol and 10 years old diesel vehicles. Apart from these, six out of 11 thermal power plants falling within a 300 km radius of the capital will remain closed till November 30. Work will be done in only five plants. Apart from this, only industries with connectivity will be allowed to operate gas in Gurugram. At the same time, the use of unauthorized fuel in industries will be prohibited.

Farmers who burn stubble in Punjab will be fined from Rs 2,500 to Rs 15,000. However, the Supreme Court has said that stubble burning is done in only a few villages of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana, so there is no need to punish the farmers.
