
Chandigarh, Feb 18 (IANS) At least 41 people have died due to swine flu in Punjab and Haryana this year, health officials said here Wednesday.
While 24 people have died in Punjab, 17 have lost their lives in Haryana. Two people have died in Chandigarh due to the H1N1 virus.
Punjab has reported over 160 suspected cases of swine flu while Haryana has reported over 100 cases.
A number of people were getting themselves tested for the disease following recent spurt in cases. A number of people are also going in for preventive vaccination.
