Chahal has placed his trust in the opening pair of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma. Despite Sanju Samson's recent ordinary performance, Chahal has shown faith in him. Emphasis on balance in the middle order
In Chahal's team, Tilak Varma, who is returning from injury, has been given a place at number three. Captain Suryakumar Yadav will bat at number four. In the bowling department, Chahal has selected two spinners, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy. The fast bowling responsibilities will be on the shoulders of Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh.
