Colgate-Palmolive (India) Q1 Results: FMCG major Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited has reported a strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company posted double-digit revenue growth, higher profitability, and improved margins, supported by robust demand for its premium oral care portfolio.

Colgate-Palmolive reported net sales of ₹1,591 crore, registering a 12% year-on-year growth compared to ₹1,421 crore in the same quarter last year.

 

The company's total income also increased nearly 12% to ₹1,626.10 crore, reflecting healthy demand across its product portfolio.

 

Net Profit Rises to ₹343 Crore

 

The company posted a net profit of ₹343.08 crore, compared with ₹320.62 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

 

Excluding exceptional and one-time items, adjusted net profit recorded 11% year-on-year growth, highlighting the strength of Colgate's core business.

 

Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

 

Total Income: ₹1,626.10 crore (vs ₹1,452 crore)

Net Sales: ₹1,591 crore (up 12%)

Net Profit: ₹343.08 crore (up 7%)

Gross Margin: 69.7% (up 110 basis points)

EPS: ₹12.61 (vs ₹11.79)

Premium Toothpaste Segment Drives Growth

 

Managing Director & CEO Prabha Narasimhan said the company's growth was driven by sustained momentum across its product portfolio.

 

A major contributor was the premium toothpaste category, which delivered high single-digit volume growth, supported by strong consumer demand and continued premiumization in oral care.

 

The company's gross margin improved by 110 basis points to 69.7%, reflecting effective cost management and an improved product mix.

 

New Product Launches Boost Portfolio

 

To strengthen its leadership in the oral care market, Colgate introduced several new products during the quarter, including:

 

Colgate MaxFresh Berry Blast with Ultra-Freeze technology

Colgate Total Active Prevention Foaming Clean Toothbrush for advanced gum care

A summer campaign promoting Colgate MaxFresh Peppermint Ice as the "Garmi-wala" toothpaste

 

These launches are part of the company's strategy to expand its premium product portfolio and attract younger consumers.

 

Future Outlook

 

Despite ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and commodity price volatility, Colgate-Palmolive remains optimistic about future growth.

 

The company plans to:

 

Continue investing in advertising and brand building

Focus on premium product innovation

Protect margins through cost optimization

Implement pricing strategies where necessary to offset inflationary pressures
