With the Taliban's occupation of Afghanistan, one of the biggest fears arose that now once again women will have to live as slaves in the country, they will not even get the right to study, work. Although the Taliban promised that women's rights would be respected under their regime this time, the ground reality is different.

Images surfaced from Kabul clearly show the Taliban is attacking women and children entering the airport with sharp-edged weapons to leave the country.

Taliban fighters also opened fire to send the crowd back from the airport. Los Angeles Times reporter Marcus Yam tweeted some photos on Twitter and claimed that several people were injured in the Taliban attack.

Fox News has released a video claiming that Taliban fighters are roaming the streets of Kabul and elsewhere searching for ex-government employees. During this, they are also firing at many places. The channel also claimed that the Taliban killed a woman in Takhar province on Tuesday just because she was seen outside the house with her head covered.

In the first press conference since the capture of Kabul, the Taliban said they would apply the law softly this time compared to their previous regime between 1996-2001. Taliban's chief spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said, "We don't want an enemy inside or outside." Zabiulla also said that women would get the right to work and study. They will also remain active in society but according to Sharia law.

Contrary to this, several local media reports claim that many women have been ordered to leave their offices by their offices amid the growing influence of the Taliban.

In the previous regime, the Taliban had banned women from working. Girls did not have the right to go to school and women could only go out of the house with a male relative, that too wearing a burqa.
