
The Yogi government, engaged in the preparations for the Uttar Pradesh elections, presented the first supplementary budget for the financial year 2021-22 in the Legislature on Wednesday. Along with this, the government has cleared the way for increasing the honorarium of education friends, employment servants, watchmen, ASHA, and Anganwadi workers. Soon their salary will increase. A total of Rs 7301.52 crore supplementary budget was presented by Finance Minister Suresh Khanna. Most of this money will be spent on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's announcements and projects that can be completed in the next six months. Before the supplementary budget was presented in the legislature, its proposals were approved in the meeting of the Yogi cabinet.
Presenting the supplementary budget, Finance Minister Suresh Khanna said that it is 1.33 percent of the general budget. He said that in the tenure of four and a half years, the perception of the public has changed in UP. Yogi Sarkar has created many new records and has broken many records. He said that the supplementary budget is a very small part of the general budget. It has been brought in to fulfill the most urgent projects. In the supplementary budget, a provision of three thousand crore rupees has been made for employment to the youth. Provision has also been made in this for payment of sugarcane farmers and social security fund for advocates. Provision has been made in the budget for the construction of Ambedkar Memorial and Cultural Center in the capital Lucknow, increase in honorarium for Anganwadi workers, ASHA and watchmen, maintenance of cows, parking arrangements in Ayodhya, and basic infrastructure.
The Finance Minister said that Rs 3000 crore has been allocated in the supplementary budget for setting up a fund to make the youth of the state digitally enabled. An additional arrangement of Rs 100 crore has been made for Bundelkhand Expressway. 50 crore has been allocated for Ballia Link Expressway. Resources have also been arranged to improve the power system of the state.
