Bangladeshi villagers and miscreants attacked BSF jawans who were doing their duty to protect Indian farmers on the international border. Two soldiers were seriously injured in this attack. As soon as the incident was reported, the security personnel reached the spot and took both the injured jawans to the nearest hospital.
According to BSF, the incident took place on Sunday in the area of Nirmalchar Post 35 Battalion in the Berhampur sector of the Bengal Frontier. The BSF has taken up the matter with the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) and called a flag meeting to recover the jawans' weapons from Bangladeshi miscreants and prevent such incidents.
Bangladeshi leave the cattle on the Indian border
This area falls in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal bordering Bangladesh. The people of Nirmalchar village allege that Bangladeshi farmers deliberately release their cattle into our fields to damage the crops. They enter the Indian border illegally on the same pretext. On the complaint, BSF has set up a temporary post here for their security.
On the day of the incident, miscreants also entered among the farmers. According to the reports, the jawans were doing duty at the border post-Nirmalchar on Sunday. Meanwhile, he stopped Bangladeshi farmers from coming to the Indian border. Within no time, more than 100 farmers from Bangladesh and the miscreants who entered among them entered the Indian border and attacked the jawans with sticks and sharp weapons. After that ran back. A spokesperson of the South Bengal Frontier said that when smugglers and criminals do not get success in their illegal activities across the border, they attack the jawans.
