The Taliban has signed an agreement with the United Arab Emirates for the operation of airports in Afghanistan. The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation gave this information on Tuesday after several months of talks with the UAE, Turkey, and Qatar.

Taliban Deputy Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Ghulam Jailani Wafa on Tuesday signed an agreement with a representative of the GAAC Corporation in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

Speaking at the contract signing event, Mulla Baradar said that the country's security is strong and the Islamic Emirate is ready to work with foreign investors. Baradar said that with the signing of this deal, all foreign airlines will start flying to Afghanistan safely and reliably.

Ghulam Jelani Wafa, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, said, “While we were in a critical emergency, the UAE assisted us with technical assistance and free terminal repairs. GAAC Corporation is a multinational firm that provides aviation services in the United Arab Emirates.
