Meanwhile, the increasing cases of dengue have added to the difficulties of the administration. According to the BBC report, relief and rescue operations are on. Officials have warned of dengue, malaria, and severe gastric infection.
Health officials in Sindh province, one of the worst-hit regions, have reported nearly 3,830 cases of dengue fever, with at least nine deaths.
Pakistan Medical Association general secretary Abdul Ghafoor Shoro said, "The situation in Sindh is very bad, we are organizing medical camps across the province. Most of the cases we are seeing now are dengue, followed by malaria.
"Dengue infection can be seen all over the province and it is increasing day by day," he said. Suspected cases are around 80 percent being tested.
Shore, who is treating several dengue patients at Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi, told the BBC that the situation was going to get worse in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, according to the latest update by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the death toll in Pakistan due to monsoon rains and floods this season has risen to 1,486, while 12,749 were injured.
The NDMA further said that 179,281 people have been rescued and 546,288 are living in other camps. So far around 3.3 crore, people have been affected across the country.
