On the NSE, the stock was trading around the ₹221 level in early trading, keeping its gain close to 25% over the ₹177 IPO price.

On the BSE, the shares opened at ₹221.05 before seeing some profit-booking. The stock subsequently moved lower, trading around the ₹201 level during the session. Since the share price is changing continuously, the exact market price may vary during trading hours.

How Much Did Deepa Jewellers IPO Investors Gain?

At the IPO issue price of ₹177, investors who received one share have an initial listing gain of ₹44 per share at the NSE debut price of ₹221.

The IPO lot size was 84 shares, meaning one retail lot at the upper price of ₹177 required an investment of ₹14,868. At ₹221, the same 84 shares would be valued at ₹18,564, representing an initial gain of ₹3,696 per lot, before applicable taxes and charges.

Deepa Jewellers IPO Details

The Deepa Jewellers IPO was launched with a price band of ₹168–₹177 per share. The issue size was approximately ₹459.72 crore, comprising a fresh issue and an offer-for-sale component.

The IPO opened for subscription on September 1 and closed on September 3, with shares scheduled to list on both the NSE and BSE on September 8.

The issue received strong investor demand and was subscribed more than 42 times by the close of bidding.

What Does the Strong Listing Mean for Investors?

The nearly 25% listing premium indicates strong initial demand for Deepa Jewellers shares. However, the stock's market price can fluctuate significantly after listing as investors book profits and fresh buyers enter the market.

Therefore, the ₹221 listing price should not be treated as a guaranteed future return. Investors should track the company's fundamentals, valuations, trading volumes and broader market conditions before making any investment decision.
