This information was given by the National Health Commission on Tuesday. A 41-year-old man from Zhenjiang city has a bird flu infection. Currently, the man's condition is stable and he will be discharged soon.
A person suffering from the H10N3 strain of bird flu was admitted to the hospital on 28 April due to fever and other health-related problems. On May 28, he was found to be infected with the influenza virus H10N3. However, no details have been given about how the person got this infection. In April, the highly pathogenic H5N6 avian flu was identified in a wild bird in Shenyang city, northeast China.
No more dangerous H10N3: NHC
However, NHC has reported H10N3 to be less pathogenic and less prone to spread the infection. Medical examination of those who came in contact with the infected patient was done, but there is no such case among them. Many strains of avian influenza are present in China and people working in poultry have been exposed to infection.
