India may receive a third weapon as a vaccine in the war from Corona next week. A Russian-made Sputnik vaccine may be available in India from next week. Member of the Health Committee of NITI Aayog, VK Paul said that the Sputnik vaccine has reached India. I am happy to say this and hope that from next week it will be available in the market. We hope that the limited supply from Russia will be available for sale from next week. Paul said that there would be more consignments of this vaccine. He said that the production of the Sputnik vaccine is also going to start in India in July.
15.6 crore doses of the Sputnik vaccine will be produced in India. At present, about 18 crore corona vaccines have been given in the country so far. America has the highest number of 26 million vaccines. India ranks third in terms of corona vaccines. Paul said that we are happy that a third of people over the age of 45 in the country have been given protective cover from Corona. Only 88 percent of people aged 45 years or older have died due to corona. In such a situation, vaccination of people of this age group was necessary and the focus has been on it only.
On the other hand, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Luv Agarwal has said that in 187 districts in the country, there has been a continuous decline in the corona cases in the past 2 weeks. States like UP, Delhi have reduced positivity rates. Apart from this, the situation has also improved in Bihar and the number of active cases has come down by one lakh.
