The Assistant Commander of CRPF said, 'The role of CRPF is to protect the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We are working round the clock, checking the vehicles, looking after the security arrangements in different places, and also increasing the sense of security among the people.
He further said, 'Security has been tightened here after the recent civilian killings. We are checking the vehicles and also searching the public. Apart from this, we are trying to make people feel that they are safe here.
He further told that the people of the Union Territory are also cooperating with him in this. "It is a difficult task but keeping in mind the recent killings, we aim to keep the area safe and check terrorist activities here," the official said.
A CRPF inspector said, "We have set up a 24-hour check post here and we are searching all local, non-local people to ensure security."
